Vampire - Freakshow

Polarity vampires are weird... instead of getting bizarre, loosely thematic magic powers, they turn into tentacled horror shows.

Drew this up in class just as practice. I think it turned out pretty well. I've been reconsidering the design of the eyes I draw, going for a more exaggerated anime style, but then shrunk down to slightly more reasonable proportions.

Initially I didn't even bother to shade this guy, but when I was trying to decide how to give the wing some texture I felt I needed it shaded. The wing wound up looking like shit so I erased the shading there, but the shadows cast by the tentacle's veins look pretty good in my opinion.

Oh, and I've decided to get into the habit of "Subject - Title" naming themes.
